1993–1999 – St. Petersburg Monetary Exchange, First Deputy Manager, then Manager
1999–2003 – Promishlenno-Stroitelny Bank, First Deputy CEO, as of 2001 First Deputy CEO.
2003–2011 – worked in the St. Petersburg Government as a Vice Governor of St. Petersburg, headed the Administration of the Governor of St. Petersburg.
2011–2012 – Deputy Minister of  Economic Development of the Russian Federation.  
Since 2012 – Deputy President and Chairman of VTB Bank Management Board.
