Andre Fritsche

Director, Governmental Relations Department, German-Russian Chamber of Commerce; Representative of the Federal State of Hesse in the Russian Federation

André Fritsche is the official representative of the German federal state of Hesse in the Russian Federation. In addition, he will be the director of the Governmental Relations department of the German-Russian Chamber of Commerce in Russia, one of the largest foreign business associations in Russia. André joined the Chamber in 2019, having previously led critical infrastructure protection projects for the German Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BKK). After coordinating foreign ministerial delegations from Russia and Central Asia on behalf of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in 2011, André spent the following years leading a variety of strategic CSR projects for the promotion of regional development and education in Yakutia, as well as social projects in Germany. André then undertook a 2-year adventure in managing medium-sized Berlin construction company Ebling Group before being appointed to his current role. André is a German citizen, who is fluent in German, English, Russian and a variety of further eastern European languages. He holds an honours degree from the University of Bonn and currently resides in Moscow. Since 2014 André serves as a university lecturer for international relations at a variety of European educational institutions.
