In 1991 he graduated from Tambov Institute of Chemical Engineering with a degree in ‘Design and Technology of Radio-Electronic Devices‘. Upon graduation he worked as a teacher at the Department of Automated Systems and Devices.
His total work experience in telecommunications is over 26 years.
Valeriy Ermakov started his career in the industry in 1994 as telecommunications engineer at Tambov Telecommunications, where he worked up to Deputy CEO in 6 years.
In January 2001, he was appointed CEO of MSS-Povolzhye – a MegaFon subsidiary in the Volga Federal District. From April 2009 – COO, MegaFon.
From October 2013 to April 2015 he was CEO of Transas Group.
In September 2015, Valeriy Ermakov was appointed Vice President for Corporate and Government Segment Business of Rostelecom.
An efficient team was formed under his leadership. Successful transformation of the segment was performed, which resulted in growth of business indicators for three financial years in a row: 2016 – 0.5%, 2017 – 3.5%, 2018 – 4.5%.
The SMB business line has been designed and launched at Rostelecom, including roll-out of a product portfolio and package offer for entrepreneurs.
High pace of business growth has been achieved at large offices – Central and North-Western Regions. A new line of services has been launched at Rostelecom, including information security, CCTV, MVNO, etc.
Valeriy is married and has two daughters.
